Today I went to read a blog I enjoy and the latest post told how she had to stop posting for a while and could not reveal the reason for fear it would identify her and her family.
I always feel bad when I think of how we have to disguise ourselves in order to live comfortably. That's why I don't disguise myself in my own blog. I have no reason to hide anything, although I understand that many believe they do.
I wonder what would happen if everyone lived their lives openly? No aliases? Would it be good, would life be even possible? What exactly would go wrong, if anything? Are there people who live their whole lives with no secrets, and if so, how does it go?
P.S. I'm not just talking about D/s here, I'm talking about the whole world, a world where Wikileaks would have no impact. I have often thought about this.

People are too judgmental for me to live openly submissive to Daddy so I just don't tell people about what I'm really like!
ReplyDeleteKitty - yes that's the problem, and it's like that because the great variety in lifestyles is not public knowledge. Perhaps if it were, people would be less judgmental, do you think? If nobody had any secrets, then we would know everything about our friends and they would not be so inclined to judge us! People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, kind of thing. Those who have no secrets to hide anyway are likely to be accepting types, so no need to worry about them.
ReplyDeleteI think about that too Malcolm. What if there were no secrets etc sounds like a revolution of consciousness. T'would be nice not having anything to hide. And maybe there is room to be more open. Then again maybe you're a dreamer like me;)

K: - Yes, I am certainly a dreamer. But everything in our lives is the reslt of someone's dream, so there is hope yet.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice thought..but in a world like ours it's often necessary to err on the side of caution. I have dealt with a stalker, and I do take steps to protect myself, as a result of his evil actions.
